Two brothers, one city, a better ride home.
Smarto started with a simple complaint about getting home to Guwahati. This is how it grew from there.
Manav and Shashank Bajoria grew up in Guwahati and spent about eight years away from it. They came home often, and every time they landed they saw the same gap: cabs that arrived late, fares that changed with the weather, and no one you could simply trust to get you home.
So in 2023 they started Smarto Cabs to fix it. Every car electric. Every fare fixed before the ride. No surge, whatever the hour. It turned out a lot of people had been waiting for the same thing, and Smarto became the cab partner Guwahati prefers.
In 2026 Manav set out to bring that same standard to the rest of the journey: holiday packages, hotels and flights, so a trip to or from the Northeast can be planned with one team that answers the phone.
What we started with

All electric
Every Smarto cab is electric. Quiet in the car, cleaner in the city.
No surge, ever
Rain, festival or midnight flight, the price does not jump because demand did.
Fixed price
The fare you are quoted is the fare you pay. No meter, no haggling at the end.

From one airport run to the whole trip.

Away from Guwahati
Living outside Assam and travelling home often. Every trip ended the same way: a cab that was late, a fare that changed, a car nobody was proud of.
2023
Smarto Cabs begins
The first all-electric Smarto cabs were flagged off on 2 July 2023 by the Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. Fixed prices and no surge, built for the airport run and the city ride first, and grown into Guwahati's most preferred cab partner.
2026
Packages, hotels and flights
The same standard, carried beyond the cab: trips across the Northeast and abroad, stays in any city, and flights across India.
